ROCHAK BHATNAGAR:

Rochak Bhatnagar, born in New Delhi, completed a degree in Engineering before embarking on a writing career. His first book 'Love Happens Only Once' was published when he was just twenty-one and was an instant bestseller. Currently working in Accenture Pvt. Inspired by the events around his surroundings his stories have a touch of reality.

2.Bon Voyage: A journey towards life...:

'Bon Voyage' is a story of almost every couple in modern times—who are caught between the entanglements of work and family life balance. The sweet romance of first love, the engaging joys of matrimony in arranged marriages and then the practical adjustments that follow in life.
Every story is not a flashy ‘Mills & Boon’ love story, yet is a unique story in itself—worth sharing! Worth caring!
Does sharing such stories in the intimate atmosphere of a train help Sita and Kia resolve their long standing dilemmas?
The end of one journey leads to riveting their attention towards another journey that awaits them—a journey towards life.

A CONVERSATION WITH ISHITA BHOWN

# Tell us about yourself?
I am born and brought up in the Pink City, Jaipur. I believe myself to be a writer by choice and an author by chance. Writing, which started as my hobby has introduced me to an altogether new world—the world of books, readers and writers. This is a parallel world, where one enjoys the thin line between fiction and reality. I love being a part of this world! Apart from writing, I work as a software professional in Pune. I like to utilize my leisure time in the company of friends and family. I value relationships more than anything. I am still trying to figure out more about myself and try to keep my curiosity alive.

# Who pushed you into writing or helped you the most?
For me, writing is not just an art, but the best way to express myself. I had a flair for writing right from school days. However, it was during college, when my friends read the draft of a story I was writing and encouraged me to get it published as a novel. Their persuasion led to my debut novel—'ToGetHer — Best friends are forever'. The novel got a great response and was a National Bestseller.

# What are some of the topics that you want to write about and why?
I write about the things that I observe in day to day life. Topics or stories come naturally to me. However, having read many thriller novels, I wish to try writing something in this genre. I want to see if I can take up the challenge of creating something so impactful that it can give goose bumps to my readers.

# What is this book all about?
'Bon Voyage' is a story of almost every couple in modern times—who are caught between the entanglements of work and family life balance. The sweet romance of first love, the engaging joys of matrimony in arranged marriages and then the practical adjustments that follow in life. Kia is tired of those adjustments, when she meets Sita, an aged lady who shares her own story. A camaraderie develops between the two ladies during the 24 hour long train journey. As they get down from the train, another journey awaits them—A journey towards the new life.

# In the end, what is your suggestion for aspiring writers?
I am too new in the writing industry and may not be a right person to offer advices. However, from my experience, I would like to suggest them to read a lot. Also, never write with the intention to get it published. As a writer, our primary aim should be to share a story. The long journey from first draft till hitting the book stores can be challenging, but don’t quit. Keep your passion alive!
